I was wondering if anyone else out there is going the CompUSA route and if they could maybe tell me a couple of things...like I'm wondering when the actual game is going to be delivered...sure the pre-order pass will be here in a couple days, and that's great for the BWE, but what about the actual game itself? I just sent an email to them asking the same question, But I thought maybe someone here might already know the answer. It would really suck if it didn't get shipped until the day it hit store shelves.

You can't buy it until the 28th... its part of the agreement on the release date. They(the store) may get it shipped to them before then, just can't sell it until the 28th. Besides..the CD key won't become active until then anyways.

yes the previous poster is correct about the 28th being the full release, did you buy it online? if you didnt and bought it at the store you shouldve recieved the preorder pack right then and there. if you bought it at the store and recieved nohijng id go back in and ask abotu it, if they say they dont have it cancel your order and go somewhere else like EBgames or gamestop, if you ordered online make sure they will ship you the preorder key asap only about 9 days till the final BWE

I did my whole pre-order thing through CompUSA, and now it seems like I'm going to have to give them a little call. You see, instead of simply clicking on "pre-order" for the game I bought the pre-order content. The problem is CompUSA may or may not be selling the pre-order content as a separate product. I'll get back to you after I give them a call now that I have a little motivation.

When ordering online. Will most places ship out on the 27th? Or will it be the 28th? Sometimes ordering online is evil as hopping on over to a local store to get the game the day its released instead of waiting to get your order shipped to you.

I ordered online, next day shipping of course, but maybe I should of just ordered locally so I could get the game the day it goes live.

You might wanna look around this site but I believe the beta is good from 12:01 the 27th to midnight the 28th after the BWE. So if your concern is it shipping the 26th or 27th arriving on the 29th it is my understanding you can still play with your beta key until 11:59 the 28th. The article where Gaile Gray from Arena.net discusses it is here .

Hey, thanks for the link. Yeah it seems that if the key you're using is for the BWE is a pre-order one (i.e. the retailer you bought it from supplied it to you via e-mail etc.) then the game will work. However if you won the key through a previous competition (which work for the BWE), i don't think such keys will work on the 27th.

But what if you have one of those "one-shot" competition won keys , that you haven't used. Think they'll work on the 27th ?

the 27th is not a beta event it is early opening for the preorder buyers

I ordered the deluxe version of the game from Best Buy and received an Email from them saying that my game was canceled. Had to reorder the Collector's addition. Hope they don't send me another pre-order package and hope I have something at the front door step on the 28th.

Well, I have the pre-order package from CompUSA on it's way. I couldn't wait any longer. I opted for the 2 day express mail just to be sure that it would be here in time for the final BWE. whether the actual game gets here on time or not remains to be seen. I'll have my fingers crossed.
